Celebrating Mattie’s 35th birthday with
an international livestream Toast2Peace!

On July 17 (Mattie’s birthday), the Foundation is partnering with World of Beer and the City of Rockville, MD for a (FUN) fundraising evening of peace, purpose, and play!

Folks of all ages are invited to join elected leaders, Tommy McFly (NBCNews4), Jimmy Alexander (WTOP), Mattie’s mom (Mama Peace / Jeni), and other local and global neighbors as we “raise a glass or grateful hands, and connect with purpose – for peace!”

Entertainment (from 5-8 pm EDT) includes The Blarney Bench (Irish/folk music), Suzanne Brindamour (singer/songwriter – who has set Mattie’s poetry to music!), Stephanie Goldklang (award winning comedian), and the ever-energetic ZamDancers.

There will also be a few of our traditional “Peace Day Stations” with craft activities – including the opportunity to  contribute to our new 2025 community mosaic. Younger participants will also enjoy the faceprinting and #PeaceRocks activities. And our Peace Shop will be open throughout the evening where folks can support the Foundation by purchasing t-shirts, Mattie’s Message cards, Toast2Peace stadium cups, books, and more!

Around 7pm EDT, leaders from the City of Rockville, Montgomery County, and the State of Maryland will join the stage for brief remarks and the annual Peace Day proclamations in honor of Mattie’s birthday and peace legacy.

The proclamations will be followed by our inaugural “livestream international Toast2Peace” – connecting via Zoom with neighbors in Canada, the United Kingdom, and other parts of the United States for a “global clink” to peace!

The Foundation is still accepting sponsorships for the event. Sponsorships from $300 and up include and opportunity to be a part of the virtual (Zoom livestream) toast from any part of the world (or on stage in local!)

let us know if you would like to
be a part of the livestream event!

Thank you to our event Partners4Peace and sponsors (so far), including the City of Rockville, Main Street Connect, VisArts, and our performers and Peace Guides who volunteer their time and talent to support Mattie’s Peace Foundation.

A special shout out to World of Beer in Rockville (196 E. Montgomery Ave) for donating a portion of select food & drink sales to support our peace mission.
