The 2026 personalized gift bricks (from orders placed summer 2024 through spring 2026) are finally installed in Mattie’s Peace Garden – on a beautiful July morning!
Brick sponsorships support the work of the Mattie Stepanek Peace Foundation – well, also celebrating the mosaic of humanity and messages from people all over the world. It took us two years to secure the 30 sponsorships needed to place an order.
The challenge is that ordering fewer than 30 bricks comes at a cost to the Foundation – but waiting two years to order bricks comes at frustration to sponsors.
We have already had a half a dozen people inquire about ordering bricks for a 2027 installation. Brick sponsorships are $250 for one personalized brick, or $200 each for 2 bricks, or $150 each for 3 or more bricks.
Personalized bricks make excellent gifts for holidays and retirements and graduations and memorials and simply celebrating life.
If there is significant support for the program – we will re-open the brick sponsorship section on our website in August (2026 – when we launch our seasonal Peace Shop promotions) – and folks can sponsor bricks for a July 2027 installation.
