Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Mattie Stepanek Peace Foundation Community (the “Community”)! We are so glad you are here to share your “Heartsong” and connect with others who are passionate about peace. Our community is a place for encouragement, sharing, and thoughtful conversation, inspired by Mattie’s life and message.
To ensure the Community remains a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for everyone, we ask that you agree to and follow these guidelines. Your participation in the Community is subject to these guidelines and our Terms of Service.
Share Your Voice & Encourage Others
We want to hear from you! Your thoughts, questions, and stories are valuable. Please feel free to start a new conversation or share an idea that is on your mind. Every voice adds to the richness of our Community, and we encourage you to share your unique perspective. This is a space for dialogue and connection, so please be generous in both sharing and listening.
Be Respectful and Kind
Our core mission is to foster peace, both within ourselves and in the world. We expect all interactions in this Community to be guided by respect, kindness, and empathy.
Respectful Language: Always use appropriate and respectful language. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racist, sexist, abusive, harassing, defamatory, pornographic, threatening, obscene, condescending, or otherwise offensive language.
- Constructive Conversations: When disagreements arise, address the idea, not the person. Challenge ideas respectfully and thoughtfully, and be open to different perspectives. Personal attacks or insults will not be tolerated.
- No Political Rhetoric: To maintain a peaceful and unified environment, political rhetoric is strictly prohibited. This is not a forum for partisan political debate. Do not post content that supports or attacks any political party, candidate, or elected official. Any form of political campaigning or commentary intended to be politically divisive will be removed. Our focus is on the universal message of peace that transcends politics, and we ask that all conversations honor this purpose.
Keep our Community Safe and Focused
Protect Your Privacy: Be mindful of the information you share. While you are welcome to use your full name, please do not post other personal details such as your street address, phone number, email address, or any other sensitive data for your own safety. Likewise, do not post the personal information of others.
Stay on Topic: Please keep your contributions relevant to the purpose of the Mattie Stepanek Peace Foundation and the specific conversation you are in. Let’s work together to keep the Community focused and meaningful.
No Commercial Activity: Do not post content to promote or advertise commercial products, services, or personal business ventures. This includes contests, sweepstakes, or pyramid schemes. Our Community is for connection, not commerce.
No Spam or Malicious Content: Do not spam users with unsolicited messages. For the safety of everyone, do not post links to malware, viruses, or any other malicious content.
Authentic Representation: Do not use any Mattie Stepanek Peace Foundation logo or trade name as your avatar or username, or otherwise pose as a Foundation employee or moderator. Official representatives will be clearly identified.
Please always be respectful when using the Community, and do not post any Content which, in the sole discretion of the Mattie Stepanek Peace Foundation:
is offensive, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, pornographic, obscene, or condescending;
is illegal, or intended to promote or commit an illegal act of any kind, including but not limited to, violations of intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or proprietary rights;
includes personal data of third parties or is intended to solicit such personal data;
includes malicious content, such as malware, trojan horses, or viruses;
involves the transmission of unsolicited mass mailing or “spamming,” junk mail, chain letters, or similar;
involves commercial or sales activities, such as advertising, contests, sweepstakes, or pyramid schemes;
interferes with or disrupts the Community; or
otherwise conflicts with our mission or these Guidelines.
Enforcement
The Mattie Stepanek Peace Foundation, represented by its Admins and Moderators, reserves the right to enforce these guidelines. Failure to adhere to these Community Guidelines or our Terms of Service may result in the removal of content and, for serious or repeated violations, the temporary or permanent banning of a member from the Community. Any such action is at our sole discretion. Should a ban be issued, it will be done without refund of any membership fees or contributions.
Reporting Inappropriate Content
If you see a post or receive a private message that you believe violates these guidelines, please help us by reporting it.

Our moderators will review all reports and take appropriate action. We are committed to maintaining a positive and safe environment for all members.
